Today, the S.A.L.T. Connection continues to hold classes which provide education and training for women that will enable them to become spiritual mentors for other women. The classes consist of 12 women of diverse backgrounds.

Mission

The S.A.L.T. Connection is a faith-based nonprofit organization that provides education to help Christian women learn how to study God’s Word for a victorious life, live a lifestyle of worship through obeying God’s Word and use their biblical knowledge and life experiences to become a spiritual mentor to other women.

Vision

Pouring God’s Word into women so that they can pour into other women.

S. – STUDYING FOR SPIRITUAL GROWTH – 1ST PETER 2:2
A. – APPLICATION FOR A VICTORIOUS LIFE – COLOSSIANS 1:10
L. – LIVING TO WORSHIP GOD – ROMANS 12:1-2
T. – TEACHING OTHER DISCIPLES – MATTHEW 28:19-20

The primary goal of the Spiritual Mentor is to make disciples. Jesus commissioned all disciples to go into the nations and make other disciples; teaching them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matt 28:19). Then He also tells us that we are the SALT of the earth; we add flavor and enhancement to this dark world. It is our duty to pour into others so that the flavor will continue to flow. However, we cannot teach or pour into others unless we are properly trained and equipped. This training begins with the Word of God. It is also through God’s word that Christians will develop a more intimate relationship with God.

Other Goals of Spiritual Mentoring

  1. Influencing others to want to be like Jesus through our daily walk with Him.
  2. To effectively build spiritual relationships with other believers
  3. To enable spiritual maturity and personal growth in the individual believer

You must have a desire to spend time loving people.
